Since September 2014, Pieter De Pauw is conducting PhD research in context of the AdLit SBO project, investigating minors’ advertising literacy for new advertising formats.  Within this study, he has a particular focus on children, and the influence of parenting on their advertising literacy level. 

Pieter graduated in 2009 as Master in Sociology at Ghent University.  From then until current assignment, he completed various studies on youth work.  In addition, he was active in the domain of cultural sociology, gaining insights in the social structuration of preferences for music genres.
